There are to groups of colours and these are the RGB and CMYK.
RGB (red, green and blue), is the colour space
monitors uses. It starts with black (darkness) and after it adds all the
colours mentioned, it finishes with white. Every colour project itself to be
visible.

CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black), is the colour
space printers uses. To the opposite of the RGB, this colour space starts with
white (the paper) and if all the colours are used it will finishes with black.
